To ensure that you are well informed about Douglas prior to your interview, here you will find important information relating to applications and getting to know us.
How can I apply?

Applications are only accepted online via our jobs forum. We can only accept written applications for temporary jobs and internships for high-school students in our stores.

Who should I contact if I have any questions regarding job vacancies or an apprenticeship at Douglas?

You will find all contact details for specific regions and areas of responsibility on our Contact Page. Please also check the requisition for the contact name of the responsible recruiter.

When should I apply?

When you apply depends on the job that you are applying for. For an apprenticeship, you should apply approximately a year before the apprenticeship starts. For all other jobs, you should apply as soon as a job is advertised. For a temporary job, you can simply go into your local store and ask whether they are looking for help.

Is there an application deadline for job vacancies?

No. Our jobs remain advertised until we find the perfect candidates. If you are unsure, please feel free to contact us!

Can I submit a speculative application?

We are happy to receive speculative applications from specialists and managers for our headquarters. For jobs in sales, we recommend that you regularly check for new jobs on our career page.

How does the application process work?

If we like your application, we will contact you personally to arrange an interview. We will typically interview you twice before making a decision. This will allow us to get to know you better and offers you the opportunity to find out everything that you want to know about us. Different people will interview you each time so that we can build a detailed a picture of you as possible.

What is the dress code?

As a modern company with its headquarters in a German city that is a hub for beauty and lifestyle brands, our dress code is business casual – in our daily routine as well as in our job interviews.

Will I be taken on after completing my apprenticeship?

In theory, you can be offered a position in any of our departments or business divisions. After all, Douglas is always looking for the workforce of tomorrow.

Will my travel expenses be paid?

We will pay any travel expenses incurred when you attend interviews. We simply ask that you send us your travel tickets or let us know the number of kilometres that you have driven.

I would like to apply for a dual-study, but I cannot find a job opening.

We only have a limited number of dual-studies. If you cannot find the job opening, the positions might already be filled.

Our dual-studies are regularly listed online between August / September until the end of the year.

I would like to work on a temporary basis at the Douglas store. How can I apply for this?

Please ask our colleagues at the store of your choice if we are looking for any kind of assistance.

Working as an assistant in our headquarters is not possible.

I got invited to a personal interview. Will my travel expenses be reimbursed?
