Data protection

The following date protection notices inform you about the kind and extent to which personal data is processed by Douglas GmbH. Personal data is information that can be directly or indirectly attributed to you or that may be assigned to you.
 
By calling up the website / application of Douglas GmbH, various information is exchanged between your device and our server. This may also be personal data. The information collected in this way will i.a. used to display to you the contents of the website and to prevent access by unauthorized people.
 
When you visit our website / application, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to the server of our website / application and temporarily stores it in a so-called log file. We have no influence on this procedure. The following information will also be collected without your intervention and stored for 7 days until it is then automatically deleted.

  • the IP address of the requesting Internet-enabled device,
  • the date and time of access,
  • the name and URL of the retrieved file,
  • the website / application from which the access was made (referrer URL),
  • The browser you use and, if necessary, the operating system of your Internet-capable computer and the name of your access provider.

The legal basis for processing the IP address is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from the purposes of data collection listed below. Please note at this point, that we cannot draw any conclusions about your identity from the data collected and that we will not draw conclusions from it.
 
The IP address of your device and the other data listed above are used by us for the following purposes:

  • ensuring a smooth connection setup,
  • Ensuring comfortable use of our website / application,
  • Evaluation of system security and stability as well
  • other administrative purposes

On our website, you can subscribe to a free investor relations newsletter – via the IR News Registration button - if you have expressly consented to receive it. In order to prevent abuse, you first receive an e-mail with a confirmation link, which you must activate in order to receive the actual newsletter (so-called double-opt-in procedure).

When registering for the newsletter, your e-mail address, your IP address and the date and time of your registration will be transmitted to us and stored and processed by us. Your data will only be used to provide proof of consent, to receive and send the newsletter.

For sending our newsletter, we use the following service provider who processes your data exclusively on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions (so-called processor according to Article 28 DS-GVO) and has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your rights.

Your data will be stored as long as we regularly send you the newsletter. In the event that we no longer send you a newsletter, we will delete your data. Please note that you can cancel the newsletter at any time by sending us an e-mail to ir@douglas.de or by clicking on the link to the termination, which is in every newsletter.
 
You have the opportunity to contact us in different ways, in particular, via the contact forms on our website as well as via e-mail. When in contact with us, and depending on the content of your message, your data may serve different purposes when being processed. In general, we will only store and process the data provided in order to pursue the matter for which you have contacted us.

The legal basis for the processing of your data in the context of contacting us is your consent (Article 6 paragraph 1 sentence 1 letter a) of the GDPR).

Your data stored in connection with your contact will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required and are not subject to any statutory storage requirements. A verification of whether storage is required takes place at least once a year.
 
For certain processes, we may assign external service providers with the matter of data processing (e.g. data processing centers). Whenever Douglas works with such service providers they are obliged to guarantee data protection by contractual agreements in the same way as we are.

Deployment of Application Insights

This website uses Application Insights, a web analysis service of Microsoft Corporation. („Microsoft“).

Application Insights is based on the data analysis tool Azure by Microsoft. Please find more information from Microsoft regarding the issue of data privacy using Azure here.

Application Insights uses so called „Cookies“, Textfiles, that will be stored on your computer in order to analyse how visitors make use of the website. The respective information produced by these cookies is then transferred to a server in Europe, which is hosted by Microsoft, and stored there.

On behalf of the operator of this website, Microsoft will use the information gained to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to this website activity and internet usage to the website operator. You can prevent the storage of cookies by a corresponding setting of your browser; however, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use all the features of this website to the fullest extent possible.

The following data is collected in the above described process:

  • operation system
  • browser and version
  • monitor resolution
  • approximate location of users
  • IP adress

Douglas GmbH has the opportunity to evaluate this data by means of various reports. The data is anonymous statistical data, hence, a personal reference based on this data is not possible. The evaluations are used for fault elimination and optimization of this website and application.

According to the provisions of the GDPR, you have different rights that you can assert against us.

This includes, amongst others,the right to appeal against selected data processing, in particular data processing for advertising purposes. In addition to the right of revocation of your consent granted to us, you are entitled to the following further rights if the relevant legal requirements apply:

  • Right to information about your personal data stored with us in accordance with. Art. 15 GDPR,
  • Right to correct incorrect or correct data according to Art. Art. 16 GDPR,
  • Right to delete your stored data in accordance with. Art. 17 GDPR,
  • Right to restriction of the processing of your data acc. Art. 18 GDPR,
  • Right to data portability acc. Art. 20 GDPR.

Under the conditions of Article 21 (1) GDPR data processing can be objected to for reasons that arise from the particular situation of the person concerned.

The above general right of objection applies to all processing purposes described in this privacy statement, which are processed on the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Unlike the special right of objection to data processing for advertising purposes, according to the GDPR, we are only obliged to execute such a general objection if you give us reasons of overriding importance (for example, a possible danger to life or health).
